Katelyn Koppelberger is the Gifted and Talented Intervention Specialist at Case Elementary School, an International Baccalaureate Candidate School, in Akron, Ohio. She has a bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood Education from Kent State University, a master’s in Instructional Technology from the University of Akron, and is working towards a gifted endorsement from Ashland University.Part of her job includes providing gifted services to students outside her building using Google Classroom and Google Hangouts. Before joining the unique and challenging world of gifted education, Katelyn taught fifth grade at an arts-integrated school and worked as a reading specialist in a distance education program. She is a certified iTheatrics Broadway Jr. director and has presented at conferences on the subject of arts integration. Outside the classroom she volunteers with Camp Quality, a camp for children with cancer.
